During the test
- Use a quiet setting with pencils and scratch paper.
- Allow about 35 minutes and one short break if needed.
- Clarify general directions, but do not teach or hint.
- Do not confirm whether an answer is correct.
- Record unusual support, interruptions, or testing conditions.

How many questions are in the diagnostic?
The student test contains 20 questions. Each of the five Grade 7 domains contributes four questions.
How long should the test take?
Allow about 35 minutes. The student should work independently and show reasoning on short-answer questions.
Can a calculator be used?
No calculator is recommended for this diagnostic because the selected values are designed to assess conceptual understanding and manageable computation.
How should the score be interpreted?
